Deed, 1807.

Deed to Jacques Allard from Sellron for land [bordering] on Lake St. Clair, Detroit (Mich.). The deed, dated Dec. 7, 1807, is handwritten in French. Sellron and Allard signed with their "X" mark indicating that they were illiterate. James Abbott signed his name as a witness and, perhaps, as a public official, such as a Notary Public.
